Maciej Strzelecki

Maciej Strzelecki holds a doctoral degree in musical arts and is a faculty member at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. His artistic profile combines an active academic career with performances on some of the world’s most renowned stages. He gained orchestral experience through prestigious academy programs with leading German ensembles, as a scholarship holder of the Ferenc Fricsay Stipendium at the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and as a member of the academy of the Staatskapelle Berlin. Under the baton of Daniel Barenboim he performed in iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Royal Albert Hall in London, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Philharmonie de Paris, the Musikverein in Vienna and Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

Throughout his artistic career he has collaborated with numerous distinguished orchestras, including the Staatskapelle Dresden, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Dresdner Philharmonie, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra.

In Poland he has performed with the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, the Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra, the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio, the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, and the Lutosławski Quartet.

He served as concertmaster at the Komische Oper Berlin and has worked under the direction of some of the world’s most renowned conductors, including Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, Mariss Jansons, Sir Simon Rattle, Herbert Blomstedt, Marek Janowski and Iván Fischer.

His artistry has been recognized in numerous competitions, including a special prize for an outstanding violinist at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and First Prize in the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe Scholarship Competition.

An important dimension of his artistic activity is his work as a violist, through which he actively participates in chamber music projects with a variety of ensembles. In 2025 he appeared with the Archos Quartet and Daniel Schnyder at the opening concert of the prestigious Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.
